Early Firkin Old Cream/Linen White Paint 

  Early Firkin Early Cream/Linen White Paint. Wonderful old oxidized painted surface that you can both see and feel the natural aging that the firkin and the paint have aged together SO well. You can see the mark on each side of the paint that the handle wear indented the paint slightly from resting in the same place on each side of the firkin over the many decades. There is an old sliver on one side of the lid missing for much of this firkin's lifetime because as early as this paint is it was painted after the break. I wish I had this piece last month as it would complement that firkin so well.
