Early Berry Basket Old Cranberry Red Paint. Great old paint and super sweet small size almost suggest a child could have used this basket for picking. This is definitely a "picking" basket as you can see the inside the weavers are darkened from the fruit over many years of being used for picking . It was common for children to work the fields back in the day. Field work came before school work. The basket is slightly out of round as you can see best in second to last photo. One edge isn't as rounded off as the other three. I never even noticed it until I took a photo of it. Great size and condition for age.
